Aztec Parent Programs
At SDSU, we value parents as partners. The better informed you are about SDSU, the better resource and coach you can be for your student. Once your student enrolls we encourage you to stay involved through Aztec Parent Programs and events like Parent Orientation, New Student and Family Convocation, and Family Weekend. If you have questions, feel free to call the Parent Hotline at (619) 594-1653.
With more than 40,000 students, faculty and staff, the SDSU campus is essentially a city in itself! So our safety and security is coordinated by our own University Police, a force of sworn police officers and civilian support employees. SDSU police officers are armed and have full arrest powers throughout the state. But they don't just offer law enforcement. The SDSU community can use their escort service from dusk to dawn, take courses in self-defense and defensive driving, and much more.
