Explore SDSU Admitted Student Day features community welcoming events for admitted students, which are created to foster inclusion, belonging and connections. Engage with current students, faculty and staff who are committed to strengthening an inclusive and supportive campus environment.

Black Resource Center

A personalized event for admitted students that provides insight into the SDSU African American/Black community. This event includes dinner, entertainment, the Black Student Organization Fair and a glimpse into student life with the option to stay overnight on campus.

Admitted students and families are invited to meet faculty and staff to connect with the African American/Black community at SDSU. You can get assistance to plan your day, speak with current SDSU students about their experiences and get a glimpse of the many opportunities that SDSU and the BRC have to offer.

SDSU Howka Weekend is a personalized event for admitted students. The weekend will provide insight into the SDSU American Indian/Indigenous community where you will have the opportunity to experience student life, meet current Native students and get a glimpse of the many opportunities that SDSU has to offer. The event will include dinner, entertainment and an option to stay overnight on campus.

Join us for the annual SDSU Pow Wow, a vibrant cultural and social celebration that brings together the Native American community at SDSU. Known as one of the longest running university pow wows in California, this special event is open to the public and celebrates Native culture, tradition and community. Hosted in partnership with the Native Resource Center, American Indian Studies Department, Native American Student Alliance, and the American Indian Alumni Chapter, all are welcome to attend!

Join us at Explore SDSU for a Guardian Scholars (GS) information session at 1 p.m. in Student Services West, Room 2549. The Guardian Scholars Program provides holistic support for students who identify as current or former foster youth, wards of the court, under legal guardianship or unaccompanied homeless youth. Learn about program requirements, scholarships, housing and wellness resources, and connect with GS staff and students to see how the program supports your journey at SDSU and beyond.
