Fall 2020 Transfer Admission Dates

October 1, 2019–November 30, 2019 Apply to SDSU on the Cal State Apply website. Once you receive an acknowledgment email from the SDSU Office of Admissions, set up your SDSU WebPortal account.
October 1, 2019–March 2, 2020 File FAFSA (financial aid application) for priority consideration.
January 22 Deadline to complete online SDSU Supplemental Application in your SDSU WebPortal account.
February If you haven't done so already, file your Free FAFSA (financial aid application) as soon as possible. Be sure to use the IRS data retrieval option when completing your FAFSA to reduce errors and list SDSU's federal school code (001151) on your FAFSA.
February 8 First deadline to apply for SDSU scholarships.
Early March Check AidLink to make sure you have submitted all requested financial aid documents.
Mid-March Final financial aid award notice posted in AidLink for students who have been admitted and have completed their financial aid applications.
March Admission decisions will begin to be available in your SDSU WebPortal account. Check your admission status in your SDSU WebPortal account.
March 2 Deadline to submit GPA Verification Form for a Cal Grant.
March 15 Deadline for California community college to submit preliminary AA-T/AS-T degree verification for applicants pursuing the Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) pathway.
March 21 Explore SDSU Open House.
April Order official transcripts for your Intent to Enroll.
April New Student Orientation information is available online.
April 1 Check AidLink and submit requested documents to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for priority evaluation.
May Check AidLink to make sure you have submitted all requested financial aid documents.
May 1 Deadline to accept your offer of admission by submitting your online Intent to Enroll $400 nonrefundable deposit, official transcripts (including fall grades), and official test scores.
May 9 New Student Orientation online reservation system will open at 10 a.m. Do not make travel arrangements before you have made a reservation for New Student Orientation.
June Request that your official college transcripts (including spring grades) be sent to the SDSU Office of Admissions by June 30.
June Make sure that you have made your New Student Orientation reservation.
June Class registration information sent to new students.
June Pay your basic tuition and fees as soon as possible.
June Sign up online for Direct Deposit to receive the balance of your financial aid and scholarship awards after the funds pay university charges.
June 30 Deadline to submit final official transcripts with spring 2020 grades.
June 30 Deadline to submit ADT verification on college transcript.
July Make sure that your basic tuition and fees are paid in full and any holds listed on your SDSU WebPortal are cleared at least two weeks prior to attending New Student Orientation.
July Activate your student loan(s) and request your Parent PLUS loan to receive funds when school begins.
August 19 Disbursement of fall financial aid and scholarship funds begins for enrolled and qualified applicants. Check Student Account Services and your designated bank account for transactions.
August 23 Welcome Week begins.
August 24 New Student and Family Convocation.
August 26 Classes begin.
September Aztec Nights—Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
